You do not need a studio, a mic or a camera to make a rap song any more. With an AI rap generator you can go from an idea to finished lyrics, a full song with a beat and vocals, and a music video of you or an AI rapper performing it, all in your browser and usually in under ten minutes.
This guide walks through each step in Rapvise and shares what makes the difference between a forgettable result and one people share.
What you need
- An idea. A birthday, an inside joke, a pet, a goal you are grinding for, a friend to roast. Specific beats generic every time.
- Optional: a photo. A clear, front-facing photo of you or a friend who agreed to be in it. No photo? Pick one of the eight AI rappers instead.
Step 1: Write the lyrics
There are three ways to get your bars:
- Give the AI a topic. One sentence is enough: "my cat Biscuit thinks he runs this house".
- Fill in a template. Templates like Birthday Rap, Roast, Love Rap or "I Quit" ask for two or three details and write the rest.
- Paste your own lyrics. Keep the section tags such as
[Verse 1]and[Chorus]so the song knows its parts.
Writing lyrics is free, so try a few versions. A few things help:
- Use real details. Names, habits, places and inside jokes make a rap feel written for one person. "Loves tacos, never on time" beats "a fun person".
- Pick the mood first. Hype, Funny, Romantic, Dark or Motivational changes the word choice and the energy, not just the beat.
- Clean or explicit. Lyrics are clean by default. Turn on explicit lyrics only if you will post somewhere that allows it.
- Edit freely. Every line is editable before you make the song. Swap a word that does not sound like you; keep the tags.
Step 2: Pick a beat and make the song
Choose the beat style that suits the lyrics:
- Trap: hype tracks, birthdays, flexing.
- Boom Bap: storytelling and funny raps with a classic feel.
- Drill: diss tracks and dark, aggressive bars.
- Lo-fi: chill, personal or late-night lyrics.
- Old School: party raps and anything playful.
- Melodic Rap: love songs and catchy, sung hooks.
Press Make the song and you get two takes of the full track in about a minute. Listen to both: the flow, the voice and the hook can differ a lot, and you choose which one goes into the video.
Making a duo? Choose Duo, give each rapper a voice (male or female), and decide who raps the first verse, who takes the hook and who raps the second verse. Rapvise tells the singer for each part to the AI, so the right voice comes in at the right time.
Step 3: Turn it into a music video
- Pick who raps. Upload your photo, or choose an AI rapper. For a duo, set rapper A and rapper B.
- Pick the scene. Neon Street, Sunset Beach, Mountain Peak, City Rooftop, Concert Stage, Desert Highway, Recording Studio or Anime City, or upload a photo of your own place.
- Choose the length and the part of the song. Videos are 10 to 30 seconds and vertical 9:16, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Slide the start point to the part you want; the chorus usually hits hardest.
- Try the free preview first. Every account gets a free 5-second preview, so you can see your rapper move before spending credits on the full video.
The performer lip-syncs your song, and the finished video plays right on the page. Your songs and videos are saved under Assets.
Tips for a better video
- Use a sharp, well-lit, front-facing photo. Faces that are small, turned away or behind sunglasses are harder to animate.
- Start the clip where the vocals start. A clip that opens on a long instrumental intro wastes the first seconds.
- For duos, start at a hand-off. A clip that goes from one rapper's verse into the shared hook shows both performers.
- Keep the hook short and repeatable. Four lines that people can sing back travel further than a long verse.
- Add captions when you post. Burned-in lyric captions are coming soon; until then, TikTok and CapCut can add them in a tap.
How much it costs
- Free: writing and editing lyrics, plus a 5-second video preview. New accounts in most regions also get 20 credits, enough for a first song.
- A song: 20 credits for two takes.
- A video: from 310 credits for 10 seconds at 480p; longer and HD videos cost more, and the price shows on the button before you make it.
Credits come in one-time packs from $9.90, last six months, and never renew. Failed songs and videos give their credits back. See pricing for every pack.
FAQ
Can I use my own lyrics?
Yes. Choose "My lyrics" and paste them in. Keep the [Verse] and [Chorus] tags so the song follows your structure.
Can I use my own beat or song?
Uploading your own track is coming soon. For now the AI makes the beat and the vocals together.
Can I download the song and the video?
Yes. MP3 and MP4 downloads come with any credit pack, without a watermark.
Can I use a friend's photo?
Only if they agreed to be in the video. Photos of children and public figures are not allowed.
